“The pace here is exciting, the people are fantastic, and the work is meaningful” is how Stephanie Jay describes her days at Davenport Wealth Management. Stephanie is one of Davenport’s two Client Service Associates, dedicating her days to providing the key background support for clients within the firm.

“I truly value the team atmosphere here –everyone is looking out for each other and pulling in the same direction. You don’t see that everywhere, and it has benefits to employees and to our clients. It’s a credit to Kevin for setting the tone and creating that kind of culture here.“

Stephanie has always enjoyed numbers, and naturally gravitated to the financial planning and wealth management industry. “I’m an organized, detail-oriented person, so that helps in a position like this. I am also a huge proponent of customer service – it really matters, so I enjoy making sure things run smoothly and people are taken care of here.”

Stephanie earned her BS in Management from Purdue University, where she also met her husband. Following college, she gained experience in support and sales roles for private businesses, which helps her understand Davenport’s clients, their needs, and their priorities. Stephanie also acquired industry knowledge in her most recent role for another financial planning and wealth management firm.

As Client Service Associate, Stephanie’s role is to support the advisor team with client engagement. This includes preparing client documents, scheduling meetings, running reports, updating procedures, marketing the firm, and ensuring that when advisors meet with clients, they have everything they need in hand. On follow up, Stephanie helps ensure that Davenport client files and paperwork are always up to date – from updating beneficiaries to ultimately following up with clients on signatures and completing all the documentation necessary to move financial plans into action.

Stephanie knew during her interview process that Davenport was the right place for her– an active office where she could maximize her skills, with a team looking to provide superior service and grow the business. “Kevin is a great leader – he’s very supportive and appreciative. You walk in the door in the morning, and it’s a great feeling to be here. Our team really cares about each other and about doing a great job for our clients. Our mission is to help our clients make strong long term financial decisions, and we do that. I know my talents are being put to good use here.”
